I remember in my youth I used to hear people say all the time “God does not want a RELIGION, He wants a RELATIONSHIP.” This saying came from people that claimed to be Christians, and they acted like the word “RELIGION” was not found in James 1:26-27. People confuse the word “RELIGION” with the word “DENOMINATION” and I learned even more so that the real threat to God’s true Church is the word “ORGANIZATION.”
(James 1:27) PURE RELIGION and undefiled before God and the Father IS THIS, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
According to James 1:27, titles such as: CATHOLIC, LUTHERAN, PRESBYTERIAN, BAPTISTS, PENTECOSTAL, etc. are NOT RELIGION. According to James 1:27, (1) visiting the fatherless, and (2) visiting the widows in their affliction, and (3) keeping yourself unspotted from the world is the biblical definition of PURE RELIGION. Religion is defined as ACTIONS not a DENOMINATION. God is not against PURE RELIGION according to James 1:27.
It is not RELIGION that has caused so much division. How could visiting the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and keeping ourselves unspotted from the world be something that God hates? It is ORGANIZATIONS that has split up the Kingdom of God, and divides the people of God with modern-day middle wall of partitions. Jesus NEVER started one single ORGANIZATION upon the face of the planet! Jesus established the KINGDOM OF GOD, and everything else is simply a mortared wall.
I know this might sound simple, and almost not important but that is because the common church folk have NO CLUE about the dangers of STATE-MERGED INCORPORATED RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS. They are Government regulated organizations that the Government it is the HEAD of, and not Jesus compliant as they claim. Even their so-called prophecies contain the name of a man-made ORGANIZATION as if Jesus Himself would stoop so low to call His Church by a 501c3 registered name when in the Book of Revelation He simply called the churches by their city location.
